Rock Am Ring 2005 was the best festival ever!!!

I was in Germany visiting my friend Sonya.We went to Rock Am Ring.It was the greatest thing ever.A wonderful experience.It amazed me how people are so used to these things.They bring the whole house there..tents,music,fridges,tables...anything you need.Of course there was a lot of beer.It's Germany for fuck's sake! And that was awesome.They had brought this thing called Schlauch, Schlauch.I don't know what it means but it looks like 2 pipes where you put in beer and have a competition, who drinks faster. So if you want to get drunk really fast, you should definitely try it. Besides, while you're drinking, you're accompanied by sirens which you can hear miles away That was one of those stupid but funniest things there.Everyone was so friendly, smiling, just having fun!
When the concert started it got crazy!Crowdsurfers were awful, I mean what they do to you while surfing. They kick and fall and hurt everyone, we had to hold our heads down. Luckily the friendly bodyguards helped them to get out and also gave people water coz it was unbelievably hot.I burnt my face, especially my nose was horrible But those things aren't as important when you're at RAR!

The best perfomances were definitely by Incubus, Maroon 5, The Hives, Prodigy, Fettes Brot, My Chemical Romance, Marilyn Manson, Green Day...really energetic and you really enjoyed being there even if you're not a fan!
Another thing I liked is that you can see different people.Any style, their looks very interesting..behaviour.It was fantastic just to see people.
Some go there every year and have those bracelets for the whole life.I'll never take mine off.
Some people only went there for camping coz it was cheap.Haha. That was very unusual(for me!).Being there and not seeing any band!But whatever floats your boat!
Then there's Helga.A woman's name.When you shout it everyone will shout back.It's a legend supposedly started in the 90's and someones is looking for her.It was very funny actually.It's so German I think.

If you still haven't been to RAR you definitely should.Especially if you live in Germany!Surely, there are loads of festivals like that but it's the only one I've ever been to, so I can't compare.But really,these things are one of a kind!
